Transformers 2.
Couldn't buy tickets online for the movie because
1. billions of people (or it sure felt like it) were on the cinema's website at the same time so the website was f-ing slow.
2. even if the website was normal, my line's f-ing nuts, the DSL light stops working every few MINUTES and I have to go restart the modem everytime this happens, and even then most of the time it still doesn't work until maybe an hour later. I'm so sick and tired of this I'm so glad I move out next month. Time to get myself a much better ISP without crappy old phone lines.
So I went to Mid Valley and holy hell it was only a Thursday afternoon but the queue in front of the box office was FULL and people were queueing in front of the McDonald's opposite the cinema. Those who have been to Mid Valley you know what I mean. So I went to the back of the line thinking that since it was only 3PM then and I wanted a 9PM show there would still definitely be seats at least at the middle of the theatres. Each night slot showing of Transformers 2 took up about 3-4 theatres anyway.
A few minutes in, a broadcast came on announcing that those who wanted to buy tickets for any movie EXCEPT Transformers 2 should head to Counter 11. Only less than 10 people trickled over. That's how massive the crowd was for this movie. Finally got seats for 4 at the second row of the cinema, first time I've seen a "blockbuster" that far in front but MK insisted that I get tickets. And it was the last outing among the few of us for a while, since we won't be seeing each other until next year perhaps, so I agreed.
From all the hype online and the craziness at the cinema, I set my expectations waaay high. Smart move. I was disappointed at how the movie turned out. The story was all over the place and so were the explosions. There wasn't really a central plot, just metal clanking everywhere and cheap jokes that didn't make me laugh most of the time. Don't really understand those who kept raving about it and saying that it's the greatest movie they ever watched. The first Transformers movie was so much better, I actually really enjoyed the first one. But this? No way I'm watching it ever again.
Next up: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince July 16th. To be honest, it's been delayed too long that I'm not that hyped about it anymore, despite all the touring and promo going on recently. But am still looking forward to all the Draco and Tom Riddle scenes. Exactly 2 weeks to go!

Man in the Mirror
Heal the World
Beat It
Smooth Criminal
Black or White
Earth Song
Thriller
My 2 favourite music videos of his are Earth Song and Black or White.
His Thriller video creeps me out every single time. Zombies are not for me. :x

I really like No Doubt's cover of Adam and The Ants' "Stand and Deliver", been playing it on loop for 2 days now. Shame there isn't an mp3 download though. They'll be performing this song on next week's Gossip Girl, can't wait!

I'm off to the 30-hour famine camp in 10 minutes!
I'm really apprehensive about it; I once tried fasting for a full 24 hours as an experiment, but couldn't even last 15 hours before I became all shaky & on the verge of passing out.
Imagine doing this double the time with only plain water to sustain the hunger... O_O;;
Will be back Sunday evening... see if I can muster up enough energy to update this by that time.
P.S. In Bruges is a f-king FANTASTIC movie! I never thought I'd fall in love with a movie that fast after TDK, but there you go. Watch it if you haven't already!

So we have to return those damned things. Why is that even a requirement? We got to keep our 3D glasses from previous 3D films like Spy Kids 3D!

Iron Man was a free movie for me since it was my birthday month & I had a voucher courtsey of the cinema who loves its members so much. :D
I still don't like how they treat women in action movies.
Plus how could Gwenyth run around in such high heels & sprint away from the humongous eviiiiiiil iron man? She didn't even slip a bit, shouldn't the different floor structures at least trap her pointy heels a little?
Narnia 2 was satisfying. The story wasn't that great, its lines (especially about Aslan, underlying message and all) I didn't quite like, but the effects were great, & the Pevensie brothers made up for it.
Both of them changed from nerdy schoolboy last film to hot hunks this film. Mmm.
Although I know it's disturbing? that they're both younger than me. LOL.
Ben Barnes has absolutely no appeal to me whatsoever though.
I'd watch it again, next month maybe, and definitely lots more times when the DVD comes out.

(Ultimate Mocha without whipped cream @ Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Genting Highlands, 4th Jan '08)
I've just recently realised that coffee does have its effects on me.
I used to be immune to coffee, could even drink it right before I slept and I would sleep soundly through the night. Only the caffeine from chinese tea would succeed in keeping me awake.
However, recently I would feel all hyper after I down a cup of instant coffee (eww I know but there aren't alternatives available currently) and I would feel like skipping everywhere.
Yesterday I had a cup before class and throughout the entire 2-hour lecture I was subconsciously shaking my legs very unlady-likely and trying my best not to fidget around. >_>
So yay, I finally got me an energy booster from now on. :P

"Dumbledore is gay," JKR said, adding he was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald.
This is so cool. I love Jo Rowling SO MUCH MORE for this. <3
(oh, and our national space-traveller is widely speculated as being gay as well though it's really none of anyone's business.)

University level, Moral subject final exam question.
Berikan 2 keburukan jika homoseks dibenarkan di Malaysia.
Translation: Give 2 disadvantages if homosexuality is allowed in Malaysia.
Not forgetting what happened a month ago in class: the "lecturer" presented slides of homosexuals in Western countries kissing and marrying, then proceeds to laugh and insult them.
Ugh. What the fuck is with these close-minded people in our country?
I pity them so much.

Today was the first time I scared myself when I thought there was another person in my room. Turned out it was just my own reflection on my full length mirror.
The full-length mirror, WHICH JUST BROKE LESS THAN TEN MINUTES AGO.
The room seems so small without it.
And since I'm totally broke, I would have to make do without a full length mirror for quite a period of time.
This time I'll just get the 4-piece mirror. So much safer and convenient.
R.I.P., my 6-month-old mirror.
I'm still reluctant to dispose the 2 major broken pieces. :(

...and I chose this moment to be addicted to Facebook.
An even bigger addiction is the Coke Light addiction. I keep getting cravings for it. Now I know why it's so hard to quit an addiction.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Also last night I had a weird dream where I was buying cheese, in the dream I was comparing prices and thinking which kind of cheese would taste really good with my curry instant noodles. >_>
